Durr to Help Those Affected by
Oil Spill with Cookbook Proceeds
HARAHAN, LA (June 7, 2010) –
Durr Heavy Construction is pleased to announce that it has donated $5,000 to Catholic Charities' Haitian relief efforts by way of its cookbook, RHINO: Recipes Homemade in New Orleans.
Featuring over 400 pages of recipes and tips that were collected from Durr's employees, family, friends and New Orleans chefs, the cookbook went on sale February 26th and the goal of 250 books or $5,000 was reached last week.
The check presentation to Catholic Charities will take place this month. Cookbooks are still available for sale and all future proceeds will be donated to the United Way's Oil Spill Assistance Fund.
